Mycah Hogan is an actor, maker, and educator who received a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch and trained at several institutions, including The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center and The American Conservatory Theater. As a teacher, he has facilitated workshops on clown and physical theater at several colleges and institutions and was a Pedagogical Assistant to Giovanni Fusetti at the Pig Iron School for Devised Creation in Philadelphia. Mycah played an integral role in the development of the enrichment program at Achievement First Providence Mayoral Elementary, a public charter school in Olneyville, and is currently the founding drama teacher at Providence High School. He also started Camp Shakesweird, a joy-based summer camp for young actors in 2018.
Mycah’s professional acting credits include Roundabout, The New Group, Rattlestick, JACK, The Tank, Williamstown, Trinity Repertory Company, The Gamm, and The Wilbury Group. He has been directed by Academy Award nominee Kathleen Turner and Tony nominee Scott Elliott, among others, and has acted alongside talents such as Sarah Paulson, John Cullum, Jeremy Strong, Andrew Garfield, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Roger Rees, Lily Rabe, Jason Butler Harner, and Lili Taylor. Mycah is on faculty at Brown/Trinity Rep’s MFA Program and NYU’s International Theater Workshop in Amsterdam, where he teaches Mask and Creative Theater and Clown, respectively. Additionally, he serves as the Education Programs Manager for The Wilbury Theatre Group and teaches his hit class EMBODIED ACTION: An Acting Class for Literally Anyone on Monday nights.
