He holds a BA from Norfolk State University in English/Theater where he is also a charter member of the Alpha Theta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Psi Omega National Theatre Honor Society. He is a recipient of the 2021 KCACTF Rosa Parks Playwrighting Award, the 2021 KCACTF Lorraine Hansberry Playwrighting Award, & the 2016 KCACTF Most Distinguished Actor in a Play Award.
